The season begins this week. I'm throwing out a challenge to all the SRM writers, readers, fans, editors, girls, anyone to bring it. We had some fun last year with this, so all you bustas that think you know, let's see it. The rules are simple. I'll lay out four NFL games per week. Leave your picks, against the spread, in the comment section. I'll keep a running tally, and the champ will get the coveted SRM Pimp Cup at year's end. So, let's see what you got, Stein, Roarty, Elkhorn, Smith, Acho, any and everyone! Broncos + 2.5 at Jaguars Falcons - 2.5 at Steelers Bengals + 5.5 at Patriots Ravens + 3 at Jets Gene's Picks Broncs bash Jags... 28-18 Love Pitt getting points at home..... Atlanta 21-20. Pats roll.... 35-16 Jets overrated.... Baltimore 31-20 Share Comments (3)

Picture if you will, a handsome man, strolling slowly down a long hallway to the blaring sound of royal trumpets.
He wears a plush velvet cape and a jeweled crown. His name, you ask? Well, it's King Christopher, Ruler and purveyor of all things SportsChump. Who else could it be? But as Phil Jackson would tell you, it's not about 'defending' your championship. And now, for my picks... Week one is anyone's guess, which is why Las Vegas has such small lines out. So, to use a Han-O term, I will begin to throw my darts. Tim Tebow comes home to Jacksonville and scores his first rushing NFL touchdown. I think the Broncos are the better team and they're getting points so I'll take Denver. Falcons amazingly find a way to lose this one. I know Big Ben is not available but I think the Steelers will rally around Dixon in Week One and not lose their home opener. Bengals plus the points please. Get your popcorn ready, Foxboro. And I'll take Baltimore plus the three, once again the better team and getting points. Looking forward to a fun season, gentlemen. report abuse

No Thursday night game?
Can't wait for that one. Instead, we get the Omelettes and the Kittens. I guess I'll take the Omelettes and hope the eggs aren't bad. Stillers need to get the home games while Ben ponders his pimp skills. Pats may not be the Pats of old but until Cincy proves it, it's still the Pats in Foxborough. NY started off hot last year...Flacco might step into the trap and go after Revis...I'll take the Jets. report abuse
